"Mothers" Continues Its Tour

Our production Mothers, directed by Rajna Racz, continues its festival journey throughout spring and summer 2026 with a series of performances across the region.

On 20 March 2026, thanks to our co-producer Maska Ljubljana, we will perform in Ljubljana as part of the Trigger Showcase, a platform presenting contemporary works from Slovenia's independent performing arts scene with the aim of increasing their international visibility and fostering connections between artists and festival programmers.

Later that month, on 29 March, Mothers will be performed in Zagreb at the We Are All Crooked Festival (Svi smo mi nahero), organised by our co-producer Kuća Nahero. Inspired by the idea of artist mothers, this year's festival highlights powerful female voices, bringing together authors, artists, performers, and cultural professionals from the independent scene while creating space for their work to be presented and recognised.

In April, the international leg of the tour begins. On 20 April, the performance will be presented at the Tivat Cultural Centre in Montenegro as part of the RUTA Festival, a regional theatre platform connecting cities and theatres across Southeast Europe, in which we participate through our co-producer Ulysses Theatre.

The tour continues on 22 April in Split, where Mothers has been selected for the official competition of the 36th Marulić Days Festival of Croatian Drama, one of Croatia's leading theatre festivals dedicated to contemporary Croatian dramatic writing.

Following performances in Skopje, Belgrade, and Tivat, our RUTA Festival journey will conclude with a performance on 14 May at Kamerni Teatar 55 in Sarajevo.

There’s little time for a break, as on 30 May we’ll be performing at the Buje Open Public University as part of the new Pusti me biti / Lascia mi essere festival. Alongside Mothers, the programme will also feature a documentary film about our performance Black Wool.

Finally, we’re returning to where it all began — Ulysses Theatre — where, on 27 July, we’ll perform Mothers in the courtyard of the Ethnographic Museum on Veliki Brijun for the first time since last year’s premiere.

We look forward to meeting new audiences and to the conversations the performance inspires about care, inherited patterns, and the social expectations embedded in the experience of (non-)motherhood.
