The third and final discussion circle on the topic of (non-)motherhood will take place on 27 May, led by renowned Slovenian theorist and editor Pia Brezavšček, who will give a talk and moderate a discussion titled “Mother and/or Feminist?”

We’re returning to the international performing arts festival Crossings in Maribor, Slovenia, with the play “Girls”, directed by Tjaša Črnigoj, which will be performed on 17 May in the Amphitheatre of Maribor II Grammar School.

Among the participants presenting community-related artistic practices at the international art-science conference "Service Learning: Art and Social Engagement", our members Anja Sabol and Vanda Velagić also held a presentation.

As part of the workshop series at the Acting and Media program at the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka, together with director Rajna Racz, we will present — both theoretically and practically — our collaboratively developed work on a new performance exploring the theme of (non-)motherhood.

Our first presentation at a scientific conference was delivered by Sendi Bakotić in Split, as part of the conference Creative Methodologies in the Performing Arts: Research Questions. The event was organized by the Croatian Association of Theatre Critics and Scholars.

We invite you to the second meeting of the (Non)Mothers circle, with the theme Balancing motherhood with work in the professional art field, which will take place online via Zoom on 31 March at 5:00 PM CET. The discussion will be moderated and introduced by art historian Lucija Lunder from Slovenia and it will be held in English.

We invite you to join a (reading) circle that we initiated with director Rajna Racz as part of the research for our new documentary theatre production "Mothers", which explores a woman's decision about motherhood.

The play “Girls”, directed by Tjaša Črnigoj, closed the regional Ruta Festival on 3 February with a sold-out performance at the Ljubljana City Theatre.

We are delighted that "Girls" were performed on 23 January as part of the Inclusive subscription series at the Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc.
