Ana Marija has been a part of the Croatian Drama Ensemble at the Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka since 2021, where she previously worked as assistant director, social media manager, Kamov Drama Studio teacher, and assistant to the drama director.
As an actress, she collaborated with artists such as BADco., Luciano Delprato, Olja Lozica, Nataša Antulov, Renata Carola Gatica, Eduard Miler, Senka Bulić, and others. In 2018, she organised the festival Young Actors for the City of Rijeka, a student theatre showcase of the Rijeka Academy.
During her studies, she participated in an Erasmus exchange program at the Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film, and Television in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She attended the Summer School of Art and Activism (Fund4others, 2017, B. Isaković, Z. Dobrović).
In collaboration with Oaza Association in Rijeka, she incorporated creative-pedagogical work with children from emergency housing into the acting curriculum. For the Terra Association, she produced and acted in the promotional film Ana’s Day.
She expands her experience through workshops (Contemporary Performance Practices – Troubleyn (Jan Fabre) and SITI Company (Anne Bogart) and guest appearances in external productions (SARTR, Ulysses Theatre; Othello by W. Shakespeare, dir. Oksana Dmitriyeva, role of Desdemona).
Special interests: community engagement, creative writing, physical theatre, film acting.
